Neuropsychological Assessment
Have you noticed a change in your memory or thinking abilities that is a cause for concern? We provide neuropsychological assessments for adults (18+), which is an objective evaluation of your cognitive skills.
We may examine areas of:
Attention
Learning and memory
Executive Functioning skills (e.g., cognitive flexibility)
Visuospatial skills
Language
Mood
Benefits of a Neuropsychological Assessment
Determining diagnosis (if any) and cause of cognitive concerns.
Developing an understanding of cognitive problems.
Identifying cognitive strengths and weakness.
Planning of individualized treatment plans and recommendations.
Monitoring cognitive changes associated with disease progression, recovery or treatment.
What does Neuropsychological Testing look like?
We will meet for 3 (or 4) appointments and will include:
Comprehensive intake (telehealth; 1-1.5 hours) – a thorough interview of memory concerns, background, medical history, and psychological history.
Testing (in-person in Newton office; 3-4 hours) – You will be guided to complete tests including pen and paper tasks, self-reported scales, oral questions, and or computer-based tasks.
Feedback session (telehealth; 1 hour) – a review of findings and recommendation for future treatment.
